Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving 2015, otherwise known as "that weekend we all gathered together and took turns staring at Nora."

This girl has us all wrapped up in love with her. Thanksgiving was delicious, as always, and getting to spend time as a family was even better.

Friday morning we were able to gather with my entire family to do a sealing session with my dad officiating. It was so great to be there all together, and Maura was so wonderful with Nora so I didn't have to worry about anything at all.

Saturday morning we all went bowling, which was so fun. The boys had a great time, and it was hilarious to watch them. Landon needed to use the heaviest ball possible. He was not interested in using the children ball. Thanksgiving weekend was lots of fun. So glad that we got to spend time with family and have time to focus on all our wonderful blessings.

The Christmas Season has Begun!

We were totally on top of things this year and got the tree up and decorated tonight. We didn't do any other decorating, but I'm loving the tree and am so excited to get everything else up this week. The glow of Christmas lights makes everything seem so magical. Can't wait to get the boys' trees up in their rooms. Having my own mini Christmas tree in my room growing up is a favorite memory.

Rich had the tree all ready to go with his newly built custom tree stand, so we were able to start hanging ornaments immediately. It was so fun to pull out all the ornaments and tell the boys the stories behind them and have them actually care a little--I've been waiting years for this fun experience! In fact, I was so into this I forgot to take any pictures until the very end!
While we decorated, Nora slept and looked adorable, as usual. Then she woke up and was even more adorable.

The boys had fun playing and were so excited to help Daddy set up the train and see it in action. And Rich's dream of having a train under the tree has now come true!
We opened our first Christmas present of the annual ornament, which the boys were pretty happy about. Nora was too, obviously.
I'm so pleased with this beautiful tree, which was a great classifieds find. The final product turned out great! We're ready for this Christmas season!

Nora One Month

Hard to imagine that this little girl has been a part of our family for a month now, but at the same time it feels like she's always been here. We are all in love with this sweetheart and are having so much fun loving on her. She has such a calm personality and loves to look around and watch the lights and shadows.

She is a happy girl and smiled for me on the first time on November 12th. I squealed loudly and the boys thought it was as cute as I did. Now they try all the time to get her smile, but she doesn't give them out all the time yet. We're still waiting for when we can get her cute smile on camera.
She's been sleeping fairly well for her age, and we've been able to get into a pretty good routine so far. She naps well in her bassinet, but I make sure to hold her as much as I can while she sleeps so I can watch her sweet little face.

The boys' noise hasn't seemed to bother her much, which is good because they are loud! As a third baby she sometimes has to just wait her turn, and one day she fell asleep on the floor in Landon's room because I was helping him with his laundry and couldn't get her swaddled in time!

She has a great furrowed brow look and her features are so petite. She enjoys tummy time for a while, and her neck is getting really strong, and she's been able to hold her head up really well.

We've enjoyed this girl so much over the past month and look forward to getting to know our Nora even better!

First Snowfall

The boys were so excited to wake up to the first snow of the season that they ran downstairs in their pajamas and got their boots and coats on before breakfast so they could check it out. They looked adorable.

They loved exploring the snowflakes and got all decked out after eating to do the snow thing properly. Once again Landon stayed outside for a minimal amount of time, but Devin stayed out a lot longer rolling snowballs and attempting to make a snowman. More snow the next day meant more fun! This is going to be such a great winter for these boys.

Nora and her adoring fans

The novelty of Nora has not yet worn off. These big brothers adore her, and they love when she has tummy time so they can be right up next to her. This usually ends in them screaming and fighting that they can't see her equally.

I love seeing them with her and having them sneak in each night to kiss her goodnight. The looks on their faces when they watch her is so precious.
